(More customer reviews)I picked these speakers up to go in a 1984 vehicle that had pod speakers to begin with. The POD speakers previously installed were Hi-Tech something or other. The kickers were a bit bigger, and were easier to install. After installation I must say I am quite impressed with the sound. As long as you are not playing any music with ULTRA deep bass response they sound great. They will try and respond to lower frequencies and sound a bit flat, that is why subwoofers are so vital when waiting the response of the deep bass. I have these powered by a Pioneer DEH-2200 deck (no amp) and could not be happier. They are mounted right behind the seats and provide a nice back massage during double bass sets from Pantera, Mudvayne etc.

The woofers use polypropylene cones, Santoprene surrounds, and a 12 dB/octave low-pass crossover with impedance compensation to get that signature KICKER sound.
In 2007 the KB6000 sounds and looks better than its predecessors, but they are tough too. The solid molded enclosures protect the motor from weather, and they can be mounted with black stainless-steel hardware at several angles for the easiest of installations. Spring-loaded terminals allow for fast and easy wiring connections from your off-road vehicle, on your deck, under the eaves, or on the RV--wherever you are livin' loud!
